Charlie & Bri's Wedding

I had the great priveledge of both being in and taking some fun shots of my cousin, Bri's, wedding. It was a beautiful day! Everything was perfect. She looked amazing, and scenery was great too. The little details are what make the day fun, so I tried to capture a few of those details. I'm still working on editing a few more shots but wanted to post what I have done so far. Congrats Bri & Charlie! It was a wonderful day. Enjoy married life!

A few weeks ago I had the most wonderful privilege to photograph Jaclyn, who just graduated from a high school here in Lansing. She was so photogenic and so FUN. Her pictures turned out great! So thank you Jaclyn for a wonderful time and good luck in the future!

Can you believe it's June already! Summers here! :) awesome.

Well I'm learning a lot! A month or so ago I had a little one on one class with Melissa Gregerson. She should me around my camera and helped me find my way around photoshop a little better. so I took that and ran with it. The camera thing is a bit trickier then I imagined... all the switches and gadgets on the thing. hahaha but it's fun to experiment and learn as I go. And the photoshop thing is really taking off. I find something new almost every time I use it. It was frustrating at first... but you get the hang of it after a while. So I wanted to post a few pics that I edited on Photoshop to show you what I learned.

Melissa's having a workshop in Sept. that I'm signed up for!! I'm pumped! and can't wait! What fun and I can only imagine what I'll learn. But in the mean time I have a few appts. scheduled and a couple more that want in! So thank you to ALL who have helped me get started and am helping me build. I couldn't do it without any of you.

Mary-Ellen and Nathan!

what a blessing! i got to head back to SAU to take engagement pictures of my dear friend Mary-Ellen and her soon to be hubby, Nathan. They are just fit for one another. Most of the time i just took shots of them together, naturally, no help in posing required. i love when that happens. it was so fun to see another couple so in love! you can just see it in their faces! they set the date for Nov. 28th! Let the count down begin!

I have some wonderful friends are work who let me practice taking some good shots at them - with the camera of course!! haha they are both SO beautiful! and i'm so lucky to have made such good friends so fast! thanks girl! it was a blast! :)

i have a lot to update and plan on taking this weekend to do just that!! i want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement as i really start to dig dipper into this passion of mine called photography. i have many family members and friends that have asked me to photograph special moments in their lives! and i am truly honored! so thank you! and thank you to all who have spread the word of dkphotography! it's really helping and i'm starting to stretch out and begin to book more and more shoots every day! :) exciting!!
