i have a lot to update and plan on taking this weekend to do just that!! i want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement as i really start to dig dipper into this passion of mine called photography. i have many family members and friends that have asked me to photograph special moments in their lives! and i am truly honored! so thank you! and thank you to all who have spread the word of dkphotography! it's really helping and i'm starting to stretch out and begin to book more and more shoots every day! :) exciting!!
so until this weekend when i'll post more of the work i've done, i'll leave my pricing and information for all who are interested. and thank you all again! i couldn't do it without you!

this weekend i have the great privilege to photograph a beautiful young lady, Kim, from church. here are a few from her....

i also got to photograph the easter egg hunt at church this past weekend. those pictures i'm still working on. it was so fun tho; to watch the kids' eyes light up when they saw all the eggs! we had over 900 eggs out in the front yard at church! it took 45 min. to lay them all out and less then 5 min. for all the kids to clean 'em all up! haha well worth it tho.


i have a few more friends interested in letting me photograph them! :D so i'll have many more photos to post soon. once the weather starts acting the way it should. it's been kind of rainy and cold the past few days, so i'm hoping for good weather this weekend so i can get more pictures in.

what a long process...

man alive; i feel as though it's been forever! and it's taken me so long to get everything in order. but really only a month. sorry it took so long. what for things to come in the mail and to get ordered sure can take some time. anyways, i finally got most of what i need. woohoo! and even have had time to get some models to show off my photography skills. thanks models!! (aka tressa and family) i do have to say though once you start shooting you really get addicted! i find myself wanting and aching to get out and take more shots. i've got more opportunities coming up this weekend with church activities and senior pics. very exciting!!! but for now here's some catch up work to tease you with while i edit some more.

I GOT IT!

i now own a Canon EOS 5D!!!! :o)

last night when i was in town (kzoo) i stopped by Melissa's for a crash course of my camera and to buy it! i was stoked! and slightly amazed at the fact that i now own it. i still have to get a memory card and lens for it, but it's coming together well. hopefully by the end of the week i'll have both ordered and bought. :) so be ready for some new sweet pics!

Camera Update!*

Just wanted to let you all know, Tim & I got some of our tax return back, so we're working on getting me my new camera!! I'm super excited! and can't wait to show you guys! I'll know more later this evening and tomorrow! yippee!

just some fun...

So the past weekend i was at home and had some fun with some flowers and my good old wedding dress at my parent's house. good news! i still fit in my dress! ha! 6 months and i still got it! haha my mom thought i was crazy... well so did my dad and husband. :) anywho. i'm still learning photoshop and am hoping to save up enough money to get a class or two to really learn it well. that'd be awesome. (if you didn't know, i got photoshop for christmas this year!! yay!)
so i'll work on some more pictures and try to keep up on posting!
