Anxiously Waiting

This cute little family is waiting for their first son to arrive. Only a few more weeks till they get their wish too!! I can't wait to meet lil' Liam - I'll be taking newborn shots of him too, so keep an eye out for those cute pics!

Apple Orchard Fun

This post is dedicated to a cute lil' guy I was so happy to have met. His name is Colten and his grandma was my 2nd grade teacher! It was so fun to be able to photograph such a cutie. And even tho he thought it not necessary, we got some cute shots of him at Gull Meadow Farms. :) Enjoy! And happy fall!

So I'm WAY behind on this blog! wowzers! So let me take a few blog posts to update you all.

I am now officially part of the smugmug.com. WOOHOO! This means that after you do a photo shoot with me, you'll be able to order any and all your pics from me ONLINE! :) How fun, eh!?!? I'm pretty excited. It'll be way nicer then the way I was doing things and lots easier for everyone.

For now that's all the big news I have for you! But stay tuned, I have two sessions with week! One with a cute newborn and another with an adorable 6 month old!! So there will be post by next weekend with some more precious faces!

Happy Spring!!

Hallelujah it is finally SPRING! Don't get me wrong, I love winter, snow, and cold - but I can only love it for so much time. Like for Christmas & New Years but Michigan can definitely drag out the cold. So I am really looking forward to the sun, the flowers, and the yummy smell of spring time in MI!!! yay!!

So I am working on getting my smugmug.com accountant up and running. I've ran into a few bumps along the way, but I think it's going to be up real soon!! :) And then for those who have shoots with me, well they can order their prints online from me!! woohoo! how exciting!!!! So I'll keep ya updated on that...

Milo's MRI and eye appt. were this past week. He did wonderful with both!!! Don't get me wrong, he was definitely grumpy after the MRI, but after they got all the wires and IV off of him and got him some food - well he was laughing and smiling before we left the building!! What a good sport we are blessed with. And the eye appt. that didn't seem to phase him either. The results of the MRI came back normal!! :) Which is wonderful. And the eye doctor did diagnose him with Nystagmus, but we kinda knew that going into the appt. - so it wasn't too much of a shock. But he is very, very nearsighted. He can't see much far away at all. And his right eye is worse then his left. So we have ordered him some cute kiddies glasses. And they should be here by the end of the week next week!! hooray! And we found that his head position, the way he holds his head and chin way down and looks up at you, that's his 'null' position. She was very impressed with it and told us not to discourage it, but to help him work with it. She also suggested that he may be a good candidate for surgery before he goes to school... so in a few years. But for now she said he's too young and that he may correct it himself with his glasses and such. It's something we'll have to wait and see. Anywho, am I ever excited to get his cute glasses!! :) I'll definitely post some cute pics of him wearing his new specs when we get 'em!

For now, I'll leave you all with a pic of Milo and his daddy. He sure has taken to him!! He LOVES laughing and playing with Tim. It's adorable. Milo lights up and gets so excited to see Tim when he gets home from work ... melts my heart!

Bri's Beautiful Belly

This is my beautiful cousin (who's more like my sister), Brianne. She and her hubby Charlie are expecting their first bundle of joy this July!!! :) They live down in Texas, so while she was visiting this week, we took some time while it was sunny and got some cute belly shots. :) Bri was such a sport too, because as nice as the photos turned out, the wind def. gave us, both, a fight!! It took some patience and goose bumps on Brianne's part, but after it was all said and done, we warmed up inside Plainwell Ice Cream and got some of Bri's favorite (Lemon Chiffon). :) I was honored to be able to capture this time in her life, and am very much looking forward to meeting the lil' one.

Thank you Bri! And I pray you had a safe trip back to Texas. I miss you already!!!

A Life Update ...

So Milo is now 5 months old!!! Time is just flying by with him. He's teething, and not just getting his front teeth but his MOLARS!! I could not believe it. What a crazy kid. :) Guess that just means he wants steak for his first birthday. haha

So some big news for our family... Milo had his first MRI - or at least we tried to get him his first MRI. He apparently has the adverse reaction to sleepy drugs; they were going to put him a "twilight" like sleep, but the more drugs they gave him, the more energetic and mad he got. I felt horrible!!!! By the time they came back with him, he had big, red, blood shot eyes and was screaming & squirming like mad!!! So we go back in a few weeks for another try, but this time they are going to put him COMPLETELY under. I'm real nervous about that, but know that he is in God's hands and that God can take care of him better then I can. So we are trusting and praying. Oh the reason they are doing this is for what they call "nystagmus". His eyes 'dance' or 'shift' back and forth really fast. I've done some research on it, and they are many different severities of it, so the MRI and the eye appt. we have for him will all help determine what our next step will be.

Some happier and funnier (yes, funnier) news -- we leave tomorrow for his first big trip. Pretty excited, and little nervous. Milo, my parents, and I are all traveling to NJ to see my brother and his family. They still haven't met one another - and since he's growing up so fast it'll be nice for them to all meet before he gets too big. It's a long ride, but I think we'll do okay. He just may hate his car seat after we are all said and done... but it'll be worth it. I can't wait for him to meet his cousins!

And I just can't resist taking pics of him ... all. the. time. So here's a recent snapshot of him napping. So sweet and peaceful. We love you Milo!

Updated Packages and Pricing for 2011

Man, this year is already starting to get away from me! I've been meaning to post these for a month now, and look - now it's already MARCH!! Craziness! Well I've had many inquiries about pricing and packages, so here's my updated pricing. :) Hope everyone has had a great 2011 so far. And for those in MI - hang in there. It's COLD, but spring is around the corner ... I can feel it!!

WEDDING PRICING AND PACKAGES ::

Package 1 - $850

Includes 6 hours of service the day of the wedding, along with ALL edited photos put onto an online gallery for viewing and ordering.

Package 2 - $1250

This package includes 8 hours of service the day of the wedding, ALL edited photos put onto an online gallery for viewing and ordering, an engagement session (with those edited photos put onto an online gallery also), and a $100 print credit.

I also have pricing for those who want all edited (high res.) photos on a DVD with a print release.

Portrait and Family Pricing ::

Full Sessions - $75

Includes one full hour of service, an outfit change (or 2 depending on time), you pick the location, and 1 8x10.

And Coming Soon ~ MINI SESSIONS for families, children, and maternity!!

Jordan John

Meet J.J.! This lil' guy is so full of life, energy, and smiles! Along with those stunning brown eyes, he has one awesome personality!!! It didn't take long for him to warm up to my camera, and once we got going, it was hard for me to stop!! He was such an easy kid to photograph. It was hard for me to narrow down which ones to put on the blog, but I suppose that's always a good problem to have. :)

Hoping I can take more of J.J. soon! He sure is a cutie!!

Miss Nadia

This is my wonderfully cute niece, Nadia. She too is now 4 months old! I can't believe how fast time has flown by for these kids!! She has such a cute smile and has quit the personality, along with some killer eyes!! I think Daddy may have a problem keeping the boys away!! :)

It's been such a blessing to have her near by and so close in age to our son. We love you Nadia! Happy 4 months!!

Milo Man Update

Happy February Everyone! Hope everyone is staying warm and has survived the "Blizzard of 2011". :)

Milo is now 4 months old, and because I can, I took some 4 month pics of him!! You can never have too many photos of your kid!! :) Graduation will be so fun - we'll have plenty of pics to chose from for his open house.

I also took some very cute photos of my niece and a good family friend. I have devoted a new blog for each of them tho, cuz they are just so cute and I wanted to show pics for all of them!!

Happy New Year!!!

I know I posted a pic of our Milo Man earlier, but here are a few more of his 3 month photos and of Christmas. I have so much fun with him every day. He has been such a wonderful blessing and a great joy for Tim and I. We throughly enjoyed our first Christmas as a family together and spent lots of time at home, smiling, laughing, and listening to the coos and gurgles of our son. Pure Bliss!
